DIT CARTS
The Riptide DIT Cart is a digital imaging workflow for film and video professionals. Specially designed to meet the high demands of on-set | near-set data management with ease. Fundamentally, the system is made up of a cart, scalable hardware, and software all built into a need portable cart. Depending on your requirements, the system has the ability to ingest from any of the Arri RAW, F55-65 and RED cameras data files for direct acquisition of media files.
It has all the essential parts to professionally capture, manipulate, fine tune, and stream your digital images on-set. Images are ingested media and stored on a scalable 12TB - 2PB RAID 6 server. The media files can then be brought into optional software programs such as Scratch, Redcine-X, Da Vinci, ColorFront, or Adobe Creative Suite for image control.
BASIC OUTLINE OF THE CAMERA'S CAPTURE FOOTAGE:

Mag is given to the DIT

Footage is offloaded to the RAID using either the PC or the MAC

Scratch or Da Vinci imports the files to start using them for screening

Scratch or Da Vinci renders out edition proxies with or without a pre-grade LUT

The low res video can then be audio-synced and used to generate the required dailies (h.264, AVID, .MXF, .AVI, .DPX)

Low res files can be sent to iPad on-set or around the world

These files are then placed in their correct location, either back on the RAID or onto transport drives attached to the data manager

Data can also be backed up to LTO 5, 6, or 8

An AVID, Final Cut, or Premiere editing laptop or workstation can also be connected

All of these functions can be performed simultaneously
